Loved this story, Kris. Both as a reader and a writer. As a reader, I just read it sat back and took everything in. I loved the little sprinklings of sarcasm from the main character ("If God had wanted us to travel through time, the scientists say, he would have given us the ability to understand time travel—and oh! Look! He’s done that.)

As a writer, I was blown away with how well everything was tied together: The story has a very refelective quality (obviously) but is so much more. And the ending: Wow, just wow.

Hi Kris. Good to hear from you. Yeah, I'm kind of picking up speed on the short stories. I finished that one I was working on. Looks like I have a reoccurring character. Wasn't planning on it. It just happened. I'll probably do a collection of those once I have enough. Thank you, I did know that they would want first pub rights for the short stories. I think I'm going to pick and choose certain stories to direct to the other markets first. The funny thing about all this is that I've really re-discovered anew that I'm the "pantser" kind of writer most of the time. I just sit and start writing and it comes out eventually. At least with short fiction. : )

I would tell you to do both, Shaun. However, be aware that unlike book markets, short story markets will not take something that has been previously e-pubbed. So you'd have to traditionally market the story first, then put it up. I do that. If you're writing a lot (and it sounds like you are) then the time factor shouldn't matter. Thanks for the comment on the story.
