Diving into the Wreck Available!
Even though the publication date says late November, Diving into the Wreck is available now. You can purchase copies at various places, from Amazon.com to specialty bookstores to the chains.
I have a few requests for my readers.
First, please have your favorite bookstore–one that is carrying Diving–send me contact information, including addresses (both web and brick & mortar). I’m setting up a special page just for ordering, and I want to include as many specialty bookshops as possible.
Second, I’m designing a website just for Diving. Let me know (privately or in the comments section) what you would like to see.
Third (but most important), if you plan to get a copy of the book, please do so within the next two weeks. In these tough economic times, my publisher wants to see sales figures before committing to the next book. (The publisher has already been great–buying the first in the height of the recession.) So the sales figures for the first two weeks of November are crucial.
Thanks, y’all. Enjoy the book!
Thanks for the heads up, Kris! Just bought it. I read the stories in ASIMOV’S and loved them, I’m very excited to read them all together. Like Patrick, I hope you will consider doing more in this universe. 🙂
Just sold another “Diving” novella to ASIMOVS and am keeping fingers crossed that this book sells well enough for Pyr to want to buy another in the “Diving” universe. Will have the dedicated “Diving” website up soon!
Just bought my copy yesterday from the local big chain book store. You can chalk this sale up to your excellent Freelancer’s Survival Guide — I visit here every week, and as a result I walked into the bookstore knowing I wanted to get a copy of your new release if it was on the shelf.
I’m looking forward to reading it!
Thanks, Michele! I’m so pleased, and pleased to have the feedback from the Freelancer’s Guide, too.
I want to see more of this series so I certainly will pick it up this week. I’m usually a Books-a-million or B&N shopper. My fall back is Amazon – though they will become my primary book vendor when I get a Kindle.
I don’t think there is a Kindle version yet anyway. 🙂
Well, checked with my editor about the Kindle format. Apparently Amazon does all the conversions, based on the number of requests they get from readers. The book is in the queue. If you want it now, click on the “I’d Like To Read This on Kindle” link. The more clicks they get, the quicker they’ll put it up.
Already ordered it, got it & read it. I reviewed it on Amazon, although I haven’t actually been back to see if it was posted. Nice job, by the way.
Thanks!
