Christmas in July! And Other Fun Things

I haven’t done an update on publications and deals in a while because I’ve been finishing all kinds of projects. I just handed in the Holiday Spectacular for 2020. Of course, I was late because of…you know…COVID-19 business related stuff. But I was lucky: I got to escape from all that real world stuff with the Spectacular. If you want to subscribe to this year’s right now, click here.
For those of you who don’t know what the Holiday Spectacular is, it’s a massive project that is essentially an advent calendar filled with fiction. If you subscribe, you will get a daily newsletter with a brand new story in it every day from American Thanksgiving to January 1. The Spectacular is not religious, and it hits as many holidays as we can find between the last week in November and the first day of January.
If you want to see what the Spectacular is all about, and if you want some wonderful relaxation reading right now, reading that takes you away from the horrible realities of 2020, then let me recommend The Holiday Spectacular #1. This ebook compiles all of the stories from last year, and leaves them in date order. The book just came out, because we figured everyone would want to enjoy holidays in July. We had no idea when we planned this just how much people needed holidays in July.
If you’re not into holidays right now, then maybe you want a bit of magic in your life. I curated the Myth, Magic, and Monsters Storybundle, putting together some of my favorite writers with all kinds of stories of magic and myth and terrifying things. There are eleven ebooks by Dean, me (as Kristine Grayson), Loren L. Coleman, Dayle A. Dermatis, Stefon Mears, Chrissy Wissler, Leah R. Cutter, and T. Thorn Coyle. Plus, there are three short story anthologies. A Shadowrun anthology, an Uncollected anthology, and a Fiction River. More reading than you can do in the two weeks remaining in July. And yes, that’s a challenge to you.
You can get all eleven books for as little as $15, and give a few dollars to our charity, Able Gamers, making gaming accessible to everyone. We all need some fun in this dark time. Click here to get yours.
Finally, if your tastes run to realistic and dark, you’ll want to get your copy of my Kris Nelscott book, Days of Rage. The ebook is free right now on all ebook platforms. Or you can just order direct from WMG Publishing.
So there you have it! Lots to entertain and distract you from the heat or the cold (you Australians you) or the virus or anything else that might be bothering you right now. I’m reading a lot more these days to escape the real world. I’ll bet you are as well. So here’s a mountain of reading to help you escape 2020. This is the only way I know to make time move quicker. If only time travel were real…
