Free Fiction Monday: Totality

Free Fiction Monday: Totality

When the first solar eclipse in years arrives on the Oregon Coast, Bryce Walker faces west, away from the eclipse. Instead of watching the sun go dark, he sees a woman wade into the dark, dangerous ocean. Alone.

He needs to help her. Because no one else sees her.

No one else even knows she’s there.

Bryce’s attempt at heroism might save a life or two—maybe even his own.

  1. My word, what a powerful story. I was absolutely hooked on the interplay between Bryce and Tia, and on Joyce having her own logic, even if it didn’t match reality. I’ve been reading your Monday fiction for at least a year now and I’ve never seen a dud. Wonderful!

Another great short story. Love how you capture the challenges of dealing with someone with schizophrenia.
