One of the nifty things we’re offering in the Kickstarter for the brand new Fey book, The Unexpected Hero, is a blank journal. All of you journaling folk will love this. It was designed mostly by Lisa Silverthorne, and has all kinds of cool features, as you can see here. If you want yours…as well as […]

I know you’re all looking for a great read to get you through the last two weeks of summer—unofficial summer, that is. In the States, summer ends with Labor Day, even though the official end is September 23. But life and work and all those supposedly non-summery things will start getting in the way of […]

I guess I went a bit overboard preparing for this holiday season. First, I did the Holiday Spectacular. You can sample some of the stories here and here, and if you like what you read, you can still subscribe, and get 35 stories. You won’t get them in 35 days now, since the parade of […]

Continue ReadingI’m proud of everything I edit, but I’m particularly proud of this anthology….Both editions are different–not just because there are four extra stories in the Kobo Special Edition, but also because the story order has changed (except for the opening story and the ending story).
Continue ReadingFiction River #2 will be coming out in about a month. I can share both the final cover for the trade paper and the list of names in the volume. John Helfers did a fantastic job editing this issue. It’s got some edgy stories, and powerful stories (which are, sometimes, one and the same). I’m really […]
Continue ReadingI finished writing a particularly troublesome novel in September. That novel only let me read very dark fiction, nonfiction, or YA novels. (Yes, what I write often dictates what I read.) So I was limited on the first half of the month. As for the second half, I started a lot of books I thought […]
