Since so many of you are enjoying my Free Fiction Mondays, I thought I should alert you to two other stories of mine you can get for free.
The first is a Christmas story, “A Taste of Miracles.” You can download it for free from Smashwords in any e-pub format you like or read it on your computer screen. If you end up liking the story and want to own it in a hardcover version, you can buy it (and a few other stories of mine) in the collection Recovering Apollo 8 and Other Stories.
The other story is “Family Affair.” It’s one of my Smokey Dalton stories that I wrote under the name Kris Nelscott. It’s available on Subterranean’s website for free or, if you want a bunch of great mystery stories as well, you can buy it in trade paperback in By Hook or By Crook and 27 More of the Best Crime and Mystery Stories of the Year, edited by Ed Gorman and Martin H. Greenberg.
Enjoy!

Smokey is thee best kind of hero. This is the kind of story that hopefully inspires and raises awareness. Way to use your gift of writing to help others Kris!
I loved “The Taste of Miracles”. Vulnerable sweetness in a space setting? Yes, Virginia, there are astronauts.
Thanks, Jen, for comments on both stories. 🙂 I’m so glad you liked them.
