Problems, Changes, and Mysterious Women…or Women of Mystery…or Something Like That
Those of you who don’t read the Thursday blog probably have been wondering what’s been going on around here. It’s been…exciting?…active?…unsettling? All of the above, actually.
I’m writing this in Las Vegas. We had to move me down here quickly because of my health (exacerbated by my neighbor deciding to burn his garbage in his fireplace all winter). I’ll be going back and forth from here to Lincoln City, but for now, and until it warms up in Oregon, I’m here in our new condo in Vegas, with two highly confused cats.
While we moved me quickly–and without much stuff (I didn’t have a desk until Friday)–I also had website troubles. Everything seemed to stop working here, from the share buttons to the notifications. We got that fixed, only to have my provider shut down the website and threaten to delete it for non-payment. Which, considering it was paid up, was shocking to say the least. We solved that on Friday night. I’m hoping that’s the last of the problems with that provider. If not, we’ll be moving the website to a new provider. Because this has been ridiculous.
Anyway, all that is to say that I’m woefully behind on letting you know about the various publications and other things. One of them has a time limit. I’m in an amazing Storybundle that award-winning mystery writer O’Neil De Noux put together. He called it the Femme Fatale bundle. Every book has to feature a mysterious woman, who is somehow the catalyst for the suspense or mystery story.
My novel in this bundle is one of my personal favorites. The Perfect Man started as a short story. But after I wrote it, I figured it would be more powerful with a very specific change–one I can’t tell you for fear of spoiling the story. Most of you have never read this one, and I think you’ll enjoy it.
In addition, you can get books by nine amazing writers. Libby Fischer Hellman, Thomas Pluck, Dean Wesley Smith, Melissa Yi, David H. Hendrickson, Julie Smith, Steve Liskow, O’Neil De Noux, and the great Lawrence Block. Every writer in this group is impressive. I haven’t read all of the books, but those I’ve read are marvelous. I’m looking forward to reading the rest.
Don’t miss this bundle. It goes away in less than 48 hours, so act quickly. Get five books for five dollars, or spend fifteen and get all of the books. You can also designate some of your funds to the charity Girls Write Now.
I promise. More news in the next week or so, as I get my feet under me. Thanks for being around during this strange month. Things will return to normal here soon enough. In the meantime, enjoy the great reading!
Here’s to better health and warmer weather! 🙂
