We’ve reached the point in the season where folks are feeling stressed. It might be the looming year’s end. It might be the crush of Christmas obligations for those who celebrate. It might simply be all the darkness (in this hemisphere, at least).
To cope with the holiday stress, I read holiday romances. And I write them too. Under the name Kristine Grayson, I’ve published 5 books in my Santa Series (so far). Here’s the most recent, Santa Claus Lane:
The youngest of Santa Claus’s children, Pippa North feels estranged from her siblings. The competition to become the next Santa Claus doesn’t help. So she invites them all to take part in a Santa run in Las Vegas at the start of the holiday season. She thinks it’ll bring them together.
Former basketball star Anton Walker wants the Santa run to go well, not just for him, but for his daughter as well. She just lost her mother and moved in with him for the first time. They’re getting to know each other. He wants his little family to behave better than the blond family he sees in line at package pickup. He tries to ignore the fact that he finds one member of that family extremely attractive.
When he meets Pippa accidentally at a nearby hotel, they bond over family. But she can’t tell him who she is. And he doesn’t want to bring anyone new into his daughter’s life.
Their third meeting, on Santa Claus Lane, will change everything for all three of them—and maybe give them a needed happily ever after.
